A charge of attempted capital murder has been filed against a McKinney man who is accused of trying to kill his son during a failed murder-suicide.
A year ago police were sent to a home after threats of suicide were made. They broke down the door and found 33-year-old Kendall Thigpen-Watkins and his 8-year-old son hanging from a stairway.
Police were able to cut down and revive both. The charge carries a possible life prison term.
