On Monday, six new faces are being added to the Hall of Heroes at the Russell A. Steindam Courts Building in McKinney.
There are 431 names engraved on the Wall of Honor at the Collin County Veterans Memorial Park. The North Texas Fallen Warrior Portrait Project has a mission to put a face with as many of those names as possible. Today, they're getting closer to that goal with the addition of six new portraits to the 82 already on display.
Each man featured is from Collin County and made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the country. The new additions are: Jasper T. Smith, Jerral W. Derryberry, Harold Lee Derryberry, Gunn L. Anderson, Martin Leroy Rodgers and Howell "Bud" Lacy.
