
Ceremonies across North Texas today will honor the 1.3 million Americans who have died in combat.
In Dallas today, the ceremony at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery begins at 11 a.m. with keynote speaker retired Marine Corps Major General James L. Williams.
Also In Dallas, it's the 80th consecutive Memorial Day observance at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery beginning at 10 am.
Mesquite's Memorial Day ceremony begins at 2:55 p.m. at Mesquite Veterans Memorial on South Galloway Avenue.
In Grand Prairie the ceremonies are at Veterans Memorial Park Event Center on Conover Drive. It starts at 10 a.m. and the gates open at 9:30.
Fort Worth's 94th annual Memorial Day observance begins at 10 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery. World War Two veteran Don Graves is among the dignitaries.
Also at 10 a.m. is the Duncanville Memorial Day ceremony at War Memorial Park McKinney ceremonies.
Also begining at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park with Gold Star Families presenting a wreath laying.
Arlington's observances are held at Moore Memorial Gardens on Davis Drive. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
And topping off the day, this evening the Dallas Symphony Orchestra offers its annual free concert at Flag Pole Hill in Dallas. Fireworks open the program at 8:15 p.m.. followed by the DSO program of patriotic music.
