One of the top men's choruses in North Texas is planning a benefit concert this weekend on behalf of the families affected by the terrible tragedy in Allen last Saturday.
The 100-voice Vocal Majority began thinking about a way to help in the early hours after the mall shooting that killed eight people. They have planned a free concert Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at McKinney High School Sperry Performing Arts Center on Wilson Creek Parkway.
The concert is free with donations accepted for the cause. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30.
The Vocal Majority's Nick Alexander says their group and McKinney High School are donating all their time and services so one hundred percent of the money raised will go to local nonprofits supporting mental health, grief and trauma support for survivors and the families of those killed, and for all first responders who are affected.
