Mesquite ISD nurse earns prestigious title

The Mesquite ISD is celebrating one of their own today.

Nurse Pam Sherill, Nurse Facilitator for the district, has been selected as one of DFW's Great 100 nurses.

"It is so humbling," Sherill says, laughing. "I did not know it was coming and it was such an honor to be chosen. I didn't think they would recognize a school nurse, honestly."

In the past 30 years, 3,000 nurses have earned this distinction, but only 63 of them have been school nurses. Sherill says she's honored to be number 64.
