A Mesquite ISD teacher was arrested Wednesday, charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Mesquite Police say 32-year-old Cesar Jiminez was booked into the jail yesterday afternoon just before 4 pm under the charge of conducting an improper relationship between a teacher and a student.
Reports say Jimenez had been teaching at Mesquite's Vanguard High School which offers training in careers and trades like Graphic Design, Automotive Technology, Logistics and more.
Jimenez taught in the automotive program but has since resigned.
Jiminez was arrested by the US Marshals in Midlothian and immediately brought to Mesquite for booking.
A spokesperson for the Mesquite school district calls his actions "appalling and disturbing."
