A Minnesota man is up on charges in Collin County where he was arrested by police who say he drove more than 800 miles to meet and have sex with someone he believed to a 15-year-old girl.

Police say Richard Jenkins had been communicating with the "girl" who turned out to be an undercover investigator.

Police say, in his online chats, Jenkins made it quite clear he intended to have sex with the subject. He apparently told the teen to tell her parents she was going to Minnesota to stay at a camp for a week.

Jenkins was booked into the Collin County jail on a charge of online solicitation of a minor involving sexual conduct. He has already been released on bail.

It's not clear if he is permitted to return to Minnesota.
