The Wylie Police Department has offered an update on the case of a missing woman that officers had been investigating throughout last week.
Officers were called to a home on Parkwood Drive early Monday after Daniel Ballenger reported that his wife, 46-year-old Melonie, had not been seen since Sunday night at their home.
According to investigators, Melonie Ballenger left home without taking a car or phone.
Police say at approximately 5:15 p.m. Friday, Melonie Ballenger was located near Abby Ln and Tyler Trail by a resident.
She was severely dehydrated but otherwise in good health and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police are still investigating what led to her disappearance.
