
Because of the icy conditions, both of the Dallas-Fort Worth based airlines are cancelling hundreds of additional flights up through mid-day today at least.
As of Monday evening, Southwest Airlines had canceled or delayed about 1,300 flights nationwide.
Early Tuesday, Southwest has delayed or canceled another 350 flights. About half of those were in or out of Dallas Love Field.
Meanwhile, at DFW International, more than 350 flights or departures were canceled Monday and nearly 500 more were delayed.
Fort Worth-based American Airlines has already cut its flight schedule by almost 300 routes for Tuesday.
