A former Cleburne ISD employee faces a manslaughter charge in connection to a 23-year-old cold case in which she's accused of leaving her newborn to die on the side of the road.
Authorities arrested and indicted Shelby Stotts on Monday and said she left her baby, identified since 2001 as Angel Baby Doe, along a road between Burleson and Alvarado in Johnson County.
New DNA technology allowed law enforcement to identify Shaw as the child's mother.
