The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation breaks ground in Arlington this morning.
The one-of-a-kind museum in recognition of the recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor, the nation's highest award for valor in combat, will stand as a testiment to the values of the more than 3,500 that it has been bestowed upon.
Out of the 66 Medal of Honor recipients who are still living, 16 of them will be at Friday's ceremony.
The groundbreaking ceremony in Arlington's Entertainment Distric takes place today, on National Medal of Honor Day.
