The nationwide Starbucks barista strike has entered the chat room in Denton.
About two dozen workers were spotted picketing outside a location yesterday, joining the multi-state movement for higher wages.
"Tell me what you want, what you really really want? Contracts, contracts!" they chanted.
The strike first kicked off Friday in Starbucks hot zones like LA, Chicago, and Seattle. By Monday, Denton workers were joined by others from Boston and Portland, OR.
Union vibes are strong in Texas with Starbucks locations already unionized in San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. But whether they’ll join the strike party is still to be decided.
