With the Final Four men's college basketball tournament coming to Houston's NRG Stadium in April, there will be seven Texas teams vying for one of the berths.
In the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament field announced last night, Houston is the top seed in the Midwest bracket, playing 16th seed Northern Kentucky.
The Texas Longhorns are the second seed in the Midwest, playing Colgate in the first round. Both of those games are Thursday.
Baylor is the third seed in the South, TCU is #6 in the West, Texas A&M is seventh in the Midwest and Texas Southern is the 16th seed in the East.
And, as the 16th seed in the south, Texas A&M Corpus Christi must play the tournament's overall #1 seed Alabama.
