The Frisco Fire Department released information Tuesday afternoon about a couple of house fires they battled on Monday.
A three-alarm fire broke out at a home in Chapel Creek Estates near Frisco High School around four in the afternoon, Monday. Then late Monday night a fire broke out at another home across town near Legacy and Lebanon. The fire department made an arrest during the second fire.
Police captured a man identified as Jonathan Webb of Austin, Texas as he was trying to get away from a small fire in an alley behind a home on Haverford Drive. They quickly connected him to a much larger fire that destroyed an under-construction home about three miles away on Memorial Drive.
Neighbors on Memorial gave police a photo of someone seen near the home. Investigators realized it resembled the man they already had in custody for the trash fire. He's up on a string of charges including arson and deadly conduct.
When both fires broke out, thick smoke could be seen for miles and heavy damage was reported to both houses.
