Sam's Club is getting ready to reopen its store in Grapevine this week. A tornado wiped out the store in 2022.

Sam's Club announced that its Grapevine location would permanently close in April. It also announced in September of this year that it would reopen on October 17th. Just three days away.

But, this new version of Sam's will have a major difference to all other Sam's.
The CEO said in a recent interview that this location will be getting rid of the checkout lines, becoming the first all-digital store. Shoppers will have to use the Scan and Go app to scan everything in the cart, and then pay for them on their phones.

The store also plans to have AI scanners at the exits, to make sure you're not trying to take anything you didn't pay for.

Sam's Club CEO also said that they hope to reimagine their floorspace now that the cashier lines are gone, using the space for preparing online orders.
