There is a new security feature at Dallas Love Field.

A biometric eGate put in by the security company CLEAR is now available for some passengers.

The goal was to open the new gates in various different airports ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It allows some passengers to bypass traditional security by skipping the TSA podium and go through the gate which uses facial recognition to match with their ID.

"We are proud to help make America's airports great ahead of the World Cup. The U.S. should be leading on security, hospitality, and the travel experience," said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker.

The TSA will still be in charge. The new system can't override TSA gate decisions and doesn't manually open gates.

The gates were originally put in place in Washington and Atlanta.
