One woman was killed, and eight others were wounded in a shooting early Sunday in southeast Dallas, according to local authorities.
The shooting broke out around 1:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Collins.
The shooting claimed the life of 21-year-old Coriesha Bradford. The others injured are expected to survive, police shared.
Police were called to the same location a few hours earlier for a large party in the street.
Police Chief Eddie Garcia on Sunday ordered an internal affairs investigation into the police response.
Garcia wants to know if officers could or should have done anything on the earlier call to prevent the shooting that ended up happening.
"I have many questions," Garcia said in a blog post.
