At least 17 people are displaced because of Thursday's apartment fire in North Richland Hills.
Reports say firefighters found heavy fire through the roof of a building at the Davis Plaza Apartments on Irish Drive near Highway 183 and Davis Boulevard.
The fire was put under control in about an hour but the unit where it started was heavily damaged. Other units had damage from smoke and water.
Nobody was hurt but firefighters gave oxygen to several pets who breathed in too much smoke. Investigators have not said anything about the cause.
