One of the region's most-accomplished canine crimefighters is now enjoying retirement.
K-9 Breta, a Belgian Malinois, racked up a long list of accomplishments in her nine years with the North Richland Hills Police Dept.
In addition to assisting in dozens of drug cases, she was credited with more than 40 apprehensions in her career.
Breta, the first K-9 to serve in the department, continues to be a permanent companion of her longtime handler, NRHPD Officer Tom Bulger. He talked with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
