Dunkin’, Krispy Kreme and other chains are marking National Donut Day with free donuts and special deals Friday, June 5, giving D-FW residents plenty of sweet options to celebrate.
At participating Dunkin’ locations, customers can get one free donut of their choice with any beverage purchase, while supplies last — no Rewards membership required. Krispy Kreme is offering one free donut of choice with no purchase necessary at participating shops, plus a deal to buy any dozen and get an Original Glazed dozen for just $2.
Other deals include Duck Donuts giving away a free classic (or cinnamon sugar) donut with no purchase necessary, 7-Eleven and Speedway offering 50-cent classic glazed donuts for rewards members, and Tim Hortons providing a free donut with a beverage purchase. Additional participating spots like Shipley Do-Nuts and select independents are also running promotions throughout the day or month.
National Donut Day, observed on the first Friday in June, honors the Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” who provided treats to soldiers during World War I. The tradition has grown into a popular annual event that boosts business for chains and local shops across North Texas.
All offers are available only today at participating D-FW locations and are subject to availability and terms. Specialty or limited-edition items may be excluded at some spots. Check with your local store or app for exact details, as crowds are expected and supplies can run out quickly.
Whether grabbing a quick treat on the morning commute or making a family stop, these deals highlight the fun, community spirit of the sugary holiday in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
