The North Texas Fair & Rodeo, which opens Friday night in Denton, is adjusting its schedule due to the forecasted weekend temperatures reaching 100 degrees or higher.
While the fair's gates will open at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, rides and games in the midway will be delayed until 6 p.m. The fair organizers made the decision to ensure the safety and comfort of attendees amid the extreme heat.
Hannah Crandall, the marketing and media manager at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo, joined the KRLD Morning News on Friday to discuss the changes.
