North Texas will get 12,000 doses of the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine to be split between Dallas and Tarrant Counties.
Doses will be administered to the qualifying public at the FEMA vaccine sites in Dallas and Arlington.
The city of Dallas plans to start administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Friday at the site at Fair Park. You will not have a choice about which vaccine shot you get. The city says if you have an appointment to just show up and take the shot that is offered to you.
Doctors insist all three vaccines currently on the market are safe and effective and people should just say yes to whichever one is offered.
In Tarrant County, FEMA is still working on plans concerning when and where the Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be available.
