GAME OF THE WEEK:
6A #11 ALLEN (5-1, 2-0) at 6A #4 DENTON GUYER (7-0, 3-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
There are few times the Allen Eagles are the underdog in a district matchup, but this week is one of those times. Allen is on a four-game win streak after last week's 71-29 victory over Little Elm. RB Jaylen Jenkins ran for 213 yards and four scores on just 12 carries. Three QBs saw action for Allen last week, and they combined to go 11 for 11 through the air. Unbeaten Guyer kept its perfect record intact with a 35-14 win over Denton Braswell. QB Jackson Arnold threw for 249 yards and two scores. He has passed for 14 TDs this season. It's important to note that on Sept. 17, Denton Guyer beat Humble Atascosita, 46-35, just two weeks after Atascosita won at Allen, 41-20. Based on previous results, logic says Guyer should defeat Allen, but this should be a tremendous clash between two of the top 6A programs in the state. There is also the revenge factor for Guyer, after Allen delivered a devastating blow right out of the gate in last year's game. The Eagles scored on three big plays in a span of 37 seconds and cruised to a 56-38 win. And, don't forget Allen has won or shared 15 consecutive district titles. A Guyer win this week would put that amazing streak in serious jeopardy.
FORT WORTH CHISHOLM TRAIL (3-3, 1-2) at 6A #16 EULESS TRINITY (5-1, 3-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
Chisholm Trail lost to Saginaw Boswell last week, 63-9. Trinity beat North Crowley, 42-7, for its fourth straight win. QB Ollie Gordon ran for 211 yards and 3 TDs. Euless Trinity's only loss is to No. 1 Austin Westlake.
HALTOM (2-4, 2-1) at FORT WORTH PASCHAL (2-4, 0-3) - 7 p.m. Friday
Haltom got 154 yards and a TD from RB Devan Powell and an outstanding defensive performance in last week's 10-3 win over L.D. Bell. Paschal is still looking for its first district victory after a 54-27 loss to 3-6A co-leader Weatherford, 54-27.
HURST L.D. BELL (0-6, 0-3) at NORTH CROWLEY (4-2, 2-1) - 7:30 p.m. Friday
L.D. Bell dropped a tough 10-3 decision to Haltom. The Blue Raiders got a 39-yard FG from K Mateo Mohler. RB DeJuan Lacy accounted for North Crowley's only TD in a 42-7 loss to Euless Trinity.
WEATHERFORD (4-2, 3-0) at SAGINAW BOSWELL (2-3, 1-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday
Weatherford's Kangaroos keep doing their part to preserve the chances of a winner-take-all showdown with Euless Trinity for the district title. That big game is looming next week. Weatherford has won three straight after a 54-27 win over FW Paschal. QB Ryan Clark continues to run the Weatherford offense with expert precision. Boswell got its first district win last week, 63-9 over FW Chisholm Trail.
KELLER FOSSIL RIDGE (2-4, 0-2) at TROPHY CLUB BYRON NELSON (4-3, 1-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
Fossil Ridge was off last week and has lost its last three. Byron Nelson picked up its first district win, 49-28, over Keller Timber Creek. QB Jacob Wilson threw for 453 yards and 5 TDs. Ten of Wilson's completions went to WR Gavin McCurley, who racked up 167 receiving yards and three scores.
KELLER TIMBER CREEK (2-4, 1-1) at KELLER (5-2, 1-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
Despite an outstanding game from WR Maddox Allbritton (13 catches, 139 yards), Timber Creek fell to TC Byron Nelson, 49-28. Unbeaten just two weeks ago, Keller is out to snap a two-game losing streak. They lost to 6-1 Haslet Eaton last week, 43-21. One positive for Keller is that the 4-6A schedule gets easier the rest of the way.
HASLET EATON (6-1, 3-0) at KELLER CENTRAL (2-4, 0-2) - 7 p.m. Thursday
After last week's 43-21 win over Keller, Eaton has won three straight to start district play. Eaton RB J.B. Brown ran for 224 yards and 3 TDs. A win this week would set up a showdown with Southlake Carroll to likely decide the district champion. Eaton will host the Dragons next week. Keller Central comes off a 63-7 loss to Carroll. Kelden Ryan ran for 127 yards and a score.

6A #3 SOUTHLAKE CARROLL (7-0, 3-0) - OFF

Prosper picked up its first 5-6A win over McKinney, 31-14. Eagles QB Harrison Rosar passed for 238 yards and 3 TDs.
HEBRON (3-3, 3-0) at COPPELL (3-3, 2-1) - 7 p.m. Friday
Hebron slipped by Plano last week, 24-21, to give HC Brian Brazil his 150th win. WR Takoda Bridges had seven catches for 53 yards and two scores. Now the schedule gets tougher for the Hawks, who share the 6-6A lead with Lewisville. Coppell dropped a heartbreaker to Marcus in double overtime, 39-37. Cowboys QB Jack Fishpaw threw for 285 yards and 3 TDs. Coppell and Marcus are in a third-place tie in the district standings, although Marcus holds the tiebreaker after last week's win.
PLANO EAST (2-4, 1-2) at FLOWER MOUND (2-4, 1-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
Plano East helped its playoff chances with last week's 31-14 win over Plano West. RB Ismail Mahdi is having an outstanding season.
