KRLD NTXHSFB GAME OF THE WEEK:
5AD2 #8 FRISCO (7-0, 5-0) at 5AD2 #3 LUCAS LOVEJOY (7-0, 5-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
This was the most difficult week of the year for choosing a "Game of the Week." There are several exceptional matchups this week, but it's hard to pass on a couple of state-ranked district rivals who remain unbeaten this late in the season. Frisco ground out a 28-14 win over Denison last week, and they did it with a linebacker filling in at quarterback. Star LB Brandon Miyazono stepped in for injured QB Wyatt Carson, and Miyazono racked up 127 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Lovejoy rolled to another big win over Lake Dallas, 55-7. QB Alexander Franklin passed for 327 yards and six TDs. HC Chris Ross is 20-1 at Lovejoy. This one is "ground and pound" vs. "air assault," and it has all the makings of a classic.
6A #16 EULESS TRINITY (6-1, 4-0) at WEATHERFORD (5-2, 4-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
This game could decide the 3-6A champion. Euless Trinity has won five straight after last week's 56-7 victory over FW Chisholm Trail. The Trojans built a 49-0 halftime lead and ran for 428 yards in their latest win. Weatherford's Kangaroos have won their last four. They defeated Saginaw Boswell, 42-22.
NORTH CROWLEY (5-2, 3-1) at FORT WORTH CHISHOLM TRAIL (3-4, 1-3) - 7 p.m. Friday
North Crowley is tied for third in the district standings after last week's 48-3 win over L.D. Bell. QB Chris Jimerson - only a freshman - threw for 210 yards and 5 TDs. Chisholm Trail got a TD reception from WR Daiquan Brown in their 56-7 loss to Euless Trinity.
HALTOM (3-4, 3-1) at SAGINAW BOSWELL (2-4, 1-3) - 7 p.m. Friday
Haltom is part of the third-place tie in 3-6A after last week's 51-20 win over FW Paschal. RB A.J. Reynolds ran for 231 yards and 4 TDs as the Buffs rolled up 345 total rushing yards. Boswell comes off a 42-22 loss to Weatherford.
FORT WORTH PASCHAL (2-5, 0-4) at HURST L.D. BELL (0-7, 0-4) - 7 p.m. Friday
Paschal has lost four straight after falling to Haltom, 51-20. RB Chris Gee ran for 199 yards and two scores in the loss. K Mateo Mohler had a field goal in L.D. Bell's 48-3 loss to North Crowley.
TROPHY CLUB BYRON NELSON (5-3, 2-2) - OFF
Byron Nelson has won two straight and is tied for third in 4-6A after holding on for a 45-42 win over Keller Fossil Ridge last week.
KELLER (6-2, 2-2) at KELLER FOSSIL RIDGE (2-5, 0-3) - 7 p.m. Friday
Keller can take sole possession of third place with a win this week. The Indians come off a 38-14 victory over Keller Timber Creek. RB Jackson Kraatz ran for 184 yards and 2 TDs. Fossil Ridge fell to Byron Nelson, 45-42, for their fourth straight loss. RB Landen Chambers ran for 164 yards and two scores.

Keller Central is out to snap a five-game losing streak. They got a TD run and a TD catch from RB Braden Manners in a 22-19 loss to Haslet Eaton. Timber Creek lost to Keller, 38-14, despite a big night from WR Lonnie Johnson, who caught 12 passes for 139 yards and 2 TDs.
6A #3 SOUTHLAKE CARROLL (7-0, 3-0) at HASLET EATON (7-1, 4-0) - 7 p.m. Thursday
Trick question: Ask somebody who's leading the "Southlake Carroll district," and most likely would say the Dragons. Carroll, coming off a bye week, actually trails Eaton by a half-game in 4-6A. Eaton won their fourth straight game last week, beating Keller Central, 22-19. RB J.B. Brown ran for 102 yards. Eaton's only loss is to Denton Braswell.
McKINNEY (3-4, 0-3) at 6A #10 ALLEN (6-1, 3-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
McKinney got a TD run from RB Bryan Jackson in a 49-14 loss to Denton Braswell. After going in as an underdog to Denton Guyer last week, Allen took down Guyer, 38-31. Allen RB Jaylen Jenkins is having a superb year. He ran for 190 yards and 3 TDs last week. Allen, which moved back into the 6A Top Ten this week, is now in position to take another district title and the top playoff seed in the 6AD1 bracket.
PROSPER (4-3, 1-2) at DENTON BRASWELL (5-3, 2-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
This is a big game for both teams. Prosper comes off a bye week and will look to even its district record. Braswell currently holds the fourth spot in 5-6A after last week's 49-14 win over McKinney. QB Keegan Byrd passed for 273 yards and 4 TDs.

LITTLE ELM (5-3, 1-3) - OFF
After a 5-0 start, hard-luck Little Elm has lost three straight. Despite getting 469 total yards and 4 TD runs from QB John Mateer last week, Little Elm fell to McKinney Boyd, 48-44.
COPPELL (3-4, 2-2) at 6A #20 LEWISVILLE (7-0, 4-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
This is Coppell's big opportunity to shake things up in 6-6A. The Cowboys look to rebound from a 34-12 loss to district co-leader Hebron. Coppell QB Jack Fishpaw had a couple of TD passes. Unbeaten Lewisville shares the district lead with Hebron after last week's 44-15 win over Plano. Soph. QB Ethan Terrell passed for 263 yards and 3 TDs. The Farmers are 7-0 for the first time since 2008.
FLOWER MOUND (3-4, 2-2) at PLANO WEST (2-5, 0-4) - 7 p.m. Friday

FLOWER MOUND MARCUS (5-2, 3-1) at HEBRON (4-3, 4-0) - 7 p.m. Friday
Much like Coppell this week, Marcus can jumble things in the 6-6A playoff race. FM Marcus has won their last three after a 37-14 win over Plano West. Marauders QB Jaxxon Warren threw for 250 yards and 4 TDs. Hebron has come roaring back after an 0-3 start. They rolled over Coppell last week, 34-12. PLANO (1-6, 0-4) at PLANO EAST (2-5, 1-3) - 7 p.m. Friday

Summit has to move on from last week's 35-34 loss to district leader Colleyville Heritage, a game in which they outgained the Panthers, 312-269. Denton lost to Frisco Reedy, 63-0.
5AD1 #1 DENTON RYAN (6-1, 5-0) at FRISCO HERITAGE (3-5, 1-5) - 7 p.m. Friday

THE COLONY (3-4, 3-2) at FRISCO INDEPENDENCE (3-4, 2-3) - 7 p.m. Thursday
The Colony finds itself in a fourth-place tie with Frisco Reedy after last week's 50-36 win over Frisco Heritage. The Colony and Reedy will meet in the final week of the regular season. After last week's 48-14 loss to 6-5A-1 co-leader Woodrow Wilson, Bryan Adams leads Newman Smith by a half-game for fourth place. RB Antoine Murphy ran for 90 yards and a score. This Sunset team has had quite the up-and-down season. They've scored 60+ points twice this year, but they've also been blanked twice, including last week's 53-0 loss to Carrollton Newman Smith. Sunset really needs to bounce back this week to keep their playoff hopes alive.
DALLAS SAMUELL (0-8, 0-6) - OFF

LANCASTER (6-1, 5-0) at DALLAS WOODROW WILSON (6-1, 5-0) - 7:30 p.m. Friday

This game won't get the hype generated by Longview-Highland Park two weeks ago, but it could be even more important. Tyler High has won five straight after taking down Wylie East last week, 48-10. Dual-threat QB Eli Holt passed for 318 yards and 3 TDs, and also ran for a score. Tyler's two losses are to unbeaten Texarkana Texas High and 6A Tyler Legacy. District co-leader Highland Park has won their last six. They come off a 59-24 win over McKinney North. 5AD1 #8 LONGVIEW (6-2, 3-1) - OFF
Longview defeated Sherman last week, 56-14. It was Longview's 200th victory at Lobo Stadium, which opened in 1976. Now, the Lobos can sit back this week and root for Tyler. A Lions win over Highland Park would preserve Longview's chances of sharing the district title.
McKINNEY NORTH (3-5, 2-2) at SHERMAN (3-4, 1-2) - 7:30 p.m. Friday
McKinney North got 116 yards and two rushing touchdowns from RB Jadan Smith in a 59-24 loss to Highland Park. Sherman fell to Longview last week, 56-14.

FORT WORTH POLY (3-4, 2-2) at CARROLLTON CREEKVIEW (3-4, 2-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
This is a big game for these two playoff contenders, who are locked in a three-way tie for third in 4-5A-2. On Saturday, FW Poly beat Trimble Tech, 26-6, for its second straight win. Poly RB Trevon Atchison rushed for 113 yards and a TD. Creekview lost a classic to district co-leader FW Wyatt, 79-73. QB Garrett Palacio threw for 7 TDs in the loss, while Poly RB Isaiah Evans ran for 301 yards and three scores on a whopping 48 carries.
FORT WORTH NORTH SIDE (3-4, 1-3) at FORT WORTH TRIMBLE TECH (1-6, 1-3) - 7 p.m. Friday
The playoff hopes will be all but extinguished for the loser of this one. North Side has dropped three straight after last week's 73-14 loss to Grapevine. Trimble Tech fell to FW Poly, 26-6. RB Michael Iglesias rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown.
FORT WORTH SOUTH HILLS (0-6, 0-4) at GRAPEVINE (5-2, 4-0) - 7 p.m. Friday

FORT WORTH WYATT (5-2, 4-0) at FORT WORTH SOUTHWEST (2-4, 2-2) - 7 p.m. Friday
Wyatt survived a very close call last week, as they came out on top in a 79-73 shootout with Carrollton Creekview. Wyatt QB Kaid Barrett passed for 426 yards and 8 TDs in the thrilling win, including the game-winning TD toss in the final seconds. Incidentally, that Wyatt-Creekview game featured 22 total touchdowns. Southwest evened its district record with a 35-6 win over FW South Hills on Saturday.
5AD2 #1 ALEDO (7-0, 4-0) at WACO UNIVERSITY (0-7, 0-4) - 7 p.m. Friday
Chalk up yet another historic accomplishment for the Aledo Bearcats. After trailing Mansfield Timberview 21-20 in the fourth period last week, Aledo came roaring back for a 35-21 victory. It was their 100th consecutive win in district play, an ongoing state record that likely never will be surpassed.
