From parades to fireworks, cities across North Texas are going all out for the Fourth of July, offering a full lineup of family-friendly events and patriotic celebrations tonight.
In Arlington, the city is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its Independence Day Parade, one of the biggest in Texas. The "Shining Bright Since '65" Diamond Jubilee parade kicked off this morning with 120 entries winding through downtown. Meanwhile, The Colony’s Liberty by the Lake is keeping the party going all day long with a 5K, rides, live music, and fireworks at the Five Star Complex.
In Dallas, the Dallas Winds will host their indoor “Star-Spangled Spectacular” at the Meyerson Symphony Center—complete with music, hot dogs, and even indoor fireworks. Out in Rowlett, Pecan Grove Park is the place to be, with performances by the Emerald City Band, food trucks, kids activities, and a big fireworks finale.
Little Elm’s July Jubilee is making a strong return this year after last year’s rainout, featuring a live show by Empire6, food and drinks, and fireworks over Lake Lewisville. And in Dallas proper, Fair Park Fourth remains the city’s largest celebration, with local vendors, kid zones, food trucks, and a massive fireworks show capping the night. Cooling zones will also be open across the park to help beat the summer heat.
Frisco is bringing some high-tech flair to its festivities with Fireworks on the Fairway at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, featuring a drone show, carnival games, and live music from Downtown Fever. Rounding out the night in Plano, the city’s All American 4th will light up Oak Point Park after a full evening of games, food trucks, and a Rotary Club parade. And in Grapevine, the annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza will dazzle crowds with patriotic music and fireworks over Lake Grapevine, with multiple viewing areas around the lake.
Whether you’re lakeside, downtown, or enjoying air conditioning and indoor fireworks, North Texas has no shortage of ways to celebrate Independence Day in style.
