A North Texas man convicted of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death in 2018 and going on a rampage in Grand Prairie has been sentenced to life in prison.
The Tarrant County District Attorney says after Hung 'Billy' Nguyen murdered his ex girlfriend later identified as 38-year-old Chi Pham, he set her house on fire.
Prosecutors said he then drove to the nail salon in Grand Prairie where they worked and tried to set a co-worker there on fire.
It was a good Samaritan with a concealed handgun license who saw what was happening and held Nguyen until police could get there and arrest him.
Nguyen pled guilty to murder before he was sentenced to life behind bars.
