Working together, police in several North Texas cities arrested a robbery suspect they believe is linked to robberies across several cities.
Shortly after a man claiming to have a gun took all the money from a Grapevine cash loan store on Tuesday, a police bulletin went out noting the robbery was similar to one less than an hour earlier in Hurst.
Detectives reviewed surveillance video, identified the suspect's car, and tracked it to Arlington. After monitoring the car, police made a traffic stop of 36-year-old Charles Brownlee as he drove through Grand Prairie.
Within hours, Grapevine police found evidence leading to charging Brownlee with aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a gun by a felon.
Detectives have now linked Brownlee to robberies this month in five North Texas cities.
Grapevine police credit officers in Hurst, Euless, Fort Worth, and Arlington for helping to solve this quickly.
