All our parents, at one point or another, probably took us to a “good” neighborhood for trick-or-treating. You know, the ones that gave out full-sized candy bars instead of the fun-sized?
We expect that these days things aren’t that different, and parents of young children across North Texas are seeking the best neighborhoods to take their little ones out for some Halloween fun.
Well, parents, a new survey has done that work for you.
Instacart examined the purchase data of Halloween candy, décor, and costume items for every zip code in America from October 2022. From these findings, they gave each zip code a custom Scare Score to determine who goes all out for Halloween.
Two North Texas zip codes made the top 5 for Halloween fun: 75205, which contains all of Highland Park and parts of University Park and Dallas which finished at number two, and 76092 in Southlake which was placed fourth.
The only other North Texas zip code in the top 30 was Prosper's zip code, 75078, which was placed at number 28.
According to the survey, the best place for trick-or-treating in the country is Lehi, Utah.
