NorthPark Center was cleared out Wednesday following a security-related incident that disrupted activity at the mall. KRLD sources say the mall was evacuated due to a bomb threat.

A spokesperson said a fire alarm went off around 12:30 p.m., leading to the evacuation and the closure of multiple entrances. Portions of Northwest Highway were also blocked as emergency crews responded. Multiple Dallas Police units were dispatched to the area to deal with the evacuation.
NorthPark officials are saying that for security reasons they are keeping everyone out of the building until at least 2:00 pm.
Dallas police are continuing to investigate and are advising the public to steer clear of the North Central Expressway and Northwest Highway area because of traffic delays.
