Nvidia has unveiled plans to establish cutting-edge supercomputer manufacturing facilities in Texas, marking a significant milestone in the company's commitment to expanding its U.S.-based operations.
Partnering with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas, Nvidia aims to ramp up production within the next 12-15 months, focusing on its advanced AI supercomputers designed to power the growing artificial intelligence industry.
These facilities will contribute to the development of "AI factories," specialized data centers dedicated to processing AI applications.
The initiative is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and generate trillions of dollars in economic activity over the coming decades. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the importance of strengthening supply chain resilience and meeting the surging demand for AI infrastructure. With Texas playing a pivotal role in this ambitious project, the state is poised to become a hub for innovation and technological advancement in the AI sector.
