On Saturday morning, an off-duty Dallas Firefighter was late for work, because he was busy rescuing a couple from a burning home.
The firefighter was driving in the 800 block of East 9th street when he saw a house engulfed in flames.
Our partners at NBC5 tell us that two people were pulled to safety, after suffering serious burns.
Their current condition is not known at this time.
Investigators say that the fire was intentionally set in the living room and that so far, one suspect has been arrested.
