Some kind-hearted Mansfield police officers helped a harmless -- and very beneficial -- rat snake to safety after finding the serpent sliding across the parking lot at the Mansfield Police Department.
Knowing how vital rat snakes are in keeping down the rodent population, and not wanting him to get run over, the officers gently scooped him up and relocated him to a safe area where he could carry on with his rodent-catching duties.
