State Fair of Texas employees and vendors worked late into the night Sunday as the 2024 edition came to a close.

The fair saw strong attendance, driven in part by an unprecedented stretch of dry weather. For the first time in the event's history, no rain fell at Fair Park during the entire 23-day run. Officials estimated 2.4 million visitors this year, averaging 100,000 attendees daily. More than 200,000 people flooded the grounds on the day of the annual Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl.

The fair's success is attributed to favorable weather conditions and the continued draw of its popular food offerings, rides, and attractions.
