A woman visiting the drive-through ATM at a bank in Lake Worth got a big surprise this week.

Police say the woman called 911 and reported she heard a strange "hissing" sound. When officers from the Lake Worth Police Department arrived, they identified the source of the noise - a 3 and 1/2 foot-long alligator next to the machine.

They called for help from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Together, they snared the alligator. Lake Worth Police say it was relocated to a new home in a suitable habitat.

They're reminding anyone who sees an alligator or any other wild animal outside of its normal habitat to contact them at 817-237-1224.
