The body of one of two men who vanished in the Elm Fork of the Trinity river in Dallas on Easter Sunday has been recovered, but the search for the second continues.
Reports said the two men were part of a group enjoying a family picnic at the California Crossing Park in northwest Dallas when one man went to the river's edge to wash off a grill, and then fell in.
Witnesses say his friend went in after him but both were swept away by the current.
Dallas police confirm that one man's body was recovered about 100 yards downstream from the spillway.
Dallas police know the names of the two men who vanished but the identity of the body they found will have to be confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner.
