The woman who was seen limping claimed to have been injured by a UNT Police SUV which was surrounded by protesters angered that a conservative politician was allowed to speak on campus.

According to reports, the woman and a dozen others jumped in front of the SUV in a futile attempt to stop it. The police were trying to move Jeff Younger from the scene when a mob surrounded the SUV assigned to get Younger away safely.

Younger is running for a seat in the Texas House. He first came to the headlines when he went to court to stop his ex-wife from trying to change the sex of one of their twin 9-year-old sons.

Last month, Attorney General Ken Paxton issued an opinion that defined that move as child abuse for providing access to certain sex-change treatments.

Younger was on campus to speak in support of criminalizing sex-transition procedures for Texas children and teens.
