One person has been killed and two others were hurt in an early morning one-vehicle crash in Kaufman County.
Just past 1 a.m. the vehicle veered out of control on I-20 near the Kaufman-Van Zandt County line - it crossed into the median, vaulting over the dividing cables and ended up in on-coming traffic. It did not appear any other vehicles were involved.
First responders found three victims. One was dead on-scene. One was very seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital by helicopter. The injuries to the third were not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators have not determined why the driver lost control.
