It happened in broad daylight, around 2:30 p.m.

"I hear 'BOOM, BOOM, BOOM,'" one witness told our partners at NBC 5. "I was in fear for my life. I was in fear for other folks lives too that were around."

"It was just madness for a little bit," another bystander said.

One of the men was shot and killed and another was taken into police custody. No other injuries have been reported.

The adult victim, a 37-year-old Black male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect identified as Isaias Perez, a 34-year-old Latin male, will be charged with murder.

At this point, police haven’t released many details about what led up to the shooting, but they're investigating whether road rage might have had something to do with it.
