One person has been struck by and killed by a car in far south Dallas.

Police got the calls last night just before 10 p.m. saying a person had been hit in the intersection of South Lancaster and Cherry Valley, a block south of I-20.
Officers arrived to find the yet to be identified victim dead and the car heavily damaged. Police have not yet said whether the driver was at-fault.
