One teenager is locked up and three others were turned over to their parents this morning after the driver crashed a stolen car into a tree, ending a Fort Worth police chase.
This all started just past 3:30 a.m. when officers found a stolen car parked at the QT on Brentwood Stair Road near Loop 820. The officers tried to block in the car to check on the teenagers inside but the driver crashed into the police car and tried to get away.
Several minutes later, police used Stop Sticks to flatten the car's tires, leading to the crash. All four teenagers then bailed out and ran for it. But with help from a police helicopter, all four were chased down in about 15 minutes.
One of the passengers bumped his head in the crash. He was taken to Cook Children's to get checked out and when the doctors said it was okay, he turned over to his parents.
The two remaining passengers were also released to their parents. The driver who caused all of this was taken to the Scott D. Moore Juvenile Justice Center.
