More than a decade after being paralyzed in a DeSoto High School football practice, Corey Borner is still persevering in his promise to walk again.
Hurt in a 2009 practice heading into his Sophomore year the 16-year-old suffered a spinal cord injury leaving him without the use of his legs.
In the 12 years since, he has graduated from high school and from Cedar Valley College, and now attends the University of North Texas.
He has never given up his dream of walking again and yesterday, he posted video on his Twitter feed showing him walking with the aid of an exo-skeleton machine and a walker.
His post says he planned to take 700 steps but he kept going and counted 826 - his longest walk since his injury.
