An argument during a Fort Worth elementary school awards ceremony led to a parent being stabbed and another arrested.
The principal of South Hills Elementary School told parents in a letter that two adults got in a fight outside of the building during the ceremony.
The students and staff were then brought back inside the building and a hold was placed on the campus. That hold was eventually lifted.
Police arrested one person while the victim was taken to the hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Counselors will be made available to students who need it.
