Parents of students in Godley ISD are on high alert following threatening messages sent to students via social media earlier this week.
Godley ISD and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reported that it identified a minor responsible for the initial threat, sent on Sunday night.
Authorities have determined there is no ongoing threat to Godley ISD students or schools. The individual involved will not be attending school while further actions are considered.
A second threatening message, sent from a different social media account on Monday to a high school student, prompted an investigation that reached California.
The FBI and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office interviewed a person in connection with the second message and concluded that any potential threat was mitigated.
