DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- In an effort to serve more Dallas families, Parkland Hospital is consolidating its Youth and Family Clinics. That means some clinics will be closing.

The Parkland Youth & Family Centers provide high-quality affordable health care to students and families in the Dallas school district. Usually, the clinics are open one to three days a week.

Parkland says that by consolidating the clinics, it will be able to reach more families and expand clinic hours to 5 days a week.

Some centers will close this Friday with the consolidated locations set to reopen Monday, July 11th. The centers that will re-open 5 days a week include the Adamson Youth Center on east 9th in Dallas, The Balch Springs Center and the Fair Oaks Center in Dallas.

Anyone who was receiving care at a clinic that's closing will be transferred to another Parkland center in their neighborhood.
