Gateway church founder Robert Morris has pleaded guilty to sexual abuse charges against him in Oklahoma.
The allegations stem from the 1980s when Cindy Clemishire says she was abused by Morris when she was 12.
Under the plea agreement, Morris will have to serve six months of a ten-year sentence in the Osage County Jail and pay $250,000 in restitution.
Morris founded Gateway Church in Southlake.
Clemishire went public after talks about restitution payments years ago fell apart over a nondisclosure agreement.
The hearing took place in Osage County Oklahoma northwest of Tulsa.
The charges were over abuse lasting from 1982 until 1985.
Morris must register as a sex offender.
"Today is a new beginning for me, my family and friends who have been by my side through this horrendous journey," Clemishire said in a statement. "I leave this courtroom today not as a victim, but a survivor."
