Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is requesting documents from Plano ISD as part of his investigation into a development project tied to the East Plano Islamic Center.
Paxton’s office said Wednesday it was examining whether there were any communications between school board members and individuals associated with the center, known as EPIC. The inquiry is part of a broader investigation that has already included records requests from officials in the cities of Plano, Richardson, Wylie, and Josephine.
The attorney general’s office said it will review all documents received and take appropriate action if any laws are found to have been violated.
No further details were provided about the nature of the development project or the specific concerns under investigation.
