Pearson and Staubach put up NFT for auction

Even though it happened 46 years ago, the impact of the "Hail Mary" lives on.

The touchdown pass from Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson in the Dallas Cowboys' 17-14 playoff victory in Minnesota in 1975 is generally lauded as the greatest single moment in the history of America's Team.

Now, it's going up for auction.

Pearson and Staubach have teamed up with Ellipsis Digital to create a unique NFT (Non-Fungible Token) commemorating the moment. NFT's are original, digital collector's items that are bought, sold, and stored online.

On August 21, the NFT will be put up for bid by Heritage Auctions. The starting bid will be $20,000.

"The Hail Mary" design was created for the offering by Austin-based artist, Glitch. The winning bidder will receive the NFT artwork, a 55-inch Ellipsis Digital NFT Display Monitor, and the opportunity to join Staubach and Pearson on the field to re-enact the Hail Mary.

The NFT and link to the auction are available HERE.
