The pedestrian that was struck and killed by a car in Cleburne over the weekend has now been identified.
Investigators say the victim, later identified as Matthew Owen, was crossing the street Sunday evening when he was hit by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports say the driver stopped at the scene of the accident, as required by law. That driver was taken to Texas Health Cleburne to get checked out but the injuries were not considered serious.
