The Dallas County health department is warning people who visited a bath house in east Dallas late last month to monitor themselves for monkeypox.

Health leaders say someone infected with monkeypox visited Club Dallas between June 22nd and June 25th and had several intimate encounters and may have infected others.

Monkeypox is spread through contact with another person’s bodily fluids or infected sores. Symptoms include fever, headache and muscle aches, chills, exhaustion and a rash that looks like blisters.

There are 700 reported cases of monkeypox in the US with just over 20 here in Texas.
