A person who was walking on a budy highway has died after being struck by a semi truck on 635-LBJ near Greenville Avenue early Thursday morning.
Reprots say the first 9-1-1 calls came in just past 1:30 a.m. sending police and paramedics to the east-bound side of 635 where the victim was found already dead.
The semi truck driver did stop as required by law. All east-bound lanes were closed at the High Five with traffic diverted off onto Highway 75.
The incident was in or near a construction zone but police are not saying if the victim was a construction worker. The east-bound lanes were closed for four hours.
